Listen first

Ask about the goal behind a design request. A request for a larger button might reveal a hierarchy or messaging problem. Summarise the issue as you understand it before proposing a solution.

Make expectations specific

Agree contacts, feedback channels and milestones. Show which decisions are needed now and which come later. A short update covering the result, open question and next step is often more useful than a long list of minor tasks.

Connect feedback to goals

Explain designs through user tasks and project objectives. Consolidate feedback and distinguish defects, preferences and new requirements. When requests conflict, agree which priority matters most.

Make reliability visible

Record agreements and flag risks early. Choose suitable tools without scattering communication across too many channels. Close with an organised handover and clarity on how later questions or changes will be handled.
